Alpha Course

Next course :

Starts Thursday September 19, 2023, 730pm in person at the Church of the Resurrection, Blarney

Most of us have asked “What is life all about?” at some time or other!  Start to find some answers with us on our next Alpha course!  Alpha is an 11-week course that creates a space, online or in person, where people have a time of learning, laughter and discussion about life, faith and Jesus.  It is based on hospitality, sharing and open conversation, where no questions are wrong and all perspectives can be discussed. The same Alpha content is run all over the world by Christians of all traditions and provides a common expression of faith.  Last year alone, more than 5,000 people in Ireland experienced Alpha, and millions more have attended Alpha in over 100 countries and over 100 languages around the globe. People of all faiths and none have enjoyed the course and all are welcome!

Check out https://www.alphaireland.org for more detailed information or call the Carraig Centre office to find out more.  Our next Alpha course will start in the autumn at the end of September and will run in-person.  Register your interest at cupcork.ie/alpha-course, more details to follow.

Growth Group: a midweek Bible study and discipleship group.

We have a dynamic and interesting group of learners and seekers who aim to grow in faith, love and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  After taking the Alpha course many want to continue on in discussion, action and learning and Growth Group offers a way to do this together.  The members of Growth Group and others from the wider congregation and other friends are often the leaders and hosts on the next or subsequent Alpha courses.  We are meeting in person this year (2023/24).  The group has a changing membership and always welcomes new members who have either completed an Alpha course or equivalent or are willing to try out the next one!

There are several other mid-week Bible study groups at varying dates, times and places around the Parish.  Contact the office 021 487 7260 for more information on these.
